EQ Retirement Solutions (EQRS) is launching a new member communications and engagement service to enhance its existing solutions for public and private sector schemes, and long-term savings and retirement providers of all sizes.

EQRS will differentiate from traditional, bespoke solutions in the market through a newly formed strategic partnership with SevenShed Communications (SevenShed). The partnership with SevenShed adds an EQRS variant of their innovative new communications platform, Electra to the EQRS toolset. The platform enables rapid, highly cost-effective deployment of customisable educational, support, and campaign communications through a flexible, digital-first front-end, seamlessly linked to back-office services.

The modern, technology-enabled communications and engagement service integrates seamlessly with existing tools and capabilities. This results in a comprehensive member engagement solution that will help EQRS clients of all sizes increase member satisfaction, drive up member engagement, reduce avoidable contact and minimise costs.

Remarking on the new service, Duncan Watson, CEO of EQRS commented: “I’m delighted EQRS is partnering with SevenShed in launching this new service to our clients. For many scheme members or policyholders, pensions are complex and can be intimidating. This creates a barrier to increasing take up of digital self-service and reducing reliance on legacy contact channels. This communications and engagement solution will play a central role in changing behaviours and empowering members to take greater control of their financial futures.”

Matt Jones, Director at SevenShed, added in respect of the strategic partnership with EQRS: “We believe that all pension schemes and their members/policyholders, no matter the size of scheme, deserve class-leading communications and educational content. The outcomes are just too important for anything less. This is why we created Electra. Working in partnership with EQRS allows us to complement the solutions they provide to their existing clients with a fresh and value-adding communication offering.”
